HARDNESS AND TIGHTNESS TESTS
The tightness test is a method that verifies the closure system of the cargo holds, as well as the watertight compartments such as doors, hatches, valves and the rest of the elements that require test of their tightness. This test is crucial to ensure the integrity and safety of the ship.
Hardness test is especially focused on the rubber hardness scope by localized plastic deformation.
By performing ultrasonic inspection, we can verify and certify the tightness of different elements that require a tightness level, such as cellar covers, watertight doors, coamings, etc.
We carry out all the inspections in accordance with the requirements of various Class Surveys, agencies and P&I Clubs.
